What can I expect during my first flexiotherapy session?
Your therapist will begin with a health assessment and discuss your goals, followed by a physical evaluation to pinpoint areas of tension or restricted movement. Based on the findings, your therapist will apply manual therapy techniques and guide you through specific movements and stretches tailored to restore your body’s natural mobility and improve function.

-
What should I wear for a flexiotherapy session?
Comfortable clothing should be worn for the session. To access certain areas, you may need to remove t-shirts or shorts, therefore wearing layers is recommended.

-
How often should I get a massage or a flexiotherapy session?
It depends on your needs. Weekly, bi-weekly, or occasional sessions may be beneficial, and your therapist will help tailor a plan to suit you.

-
Are massotherapy and flexiotherapy covered by insurance?
Yes, we provide insurance receipts. Some plans cover massage therapy if prescribed by a physician. Check with your provider for specific details.

Why do I feel sore after a Deep Tissue massage?
Soreness after a deep tissue massage is common due to the intense pressure applied to deeper muscle layers. This pressure can break up tight muscle knots and release built-up tension, much like the soreness you might feel after a workout. Additionally, the massage stimulates the release of toxins and metabolic waste, which can temporarily cause discomfort as your muscles recover.

Why do I feel sore after a flexiotherapy session?
During flexiotherapy, the muscles are stretched past their resistance point, creating microtears in the muscle fibers. As these microtears heal, the muscle lengthens, improving flexibility. This process is similar to strength training, where muscle breakdown leads to increased muscle mass. The temporary discomfort is part of your body’s natural recovery as it adapts to the increased range of motion and deeper muscle work.
